This week brought to a close the 4th year of me using this weblog, and once again I've been going through the past year's worth of posts to dig up some of the more monumental or interesting posts. This past year was not a very good one, though. Actually, that's being too kind. It pretty much sucked would be a more accurate statement. So, rather than relive all the garbage that made the past 12 months so lousy, I'm just going to bring up the things I liked. Sometimes that means I'm bringing up really silly or inconsequential posts, but hey, they're small victories.
It's been Another Year.
Last year's weblog recap.
Uncut, Uncensored, Unleashed!
My review of the long awaited DVD re-release of Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie. That was my introduction to anime 10 years ago, and it still rocks.
NEGADON!
A brief review of an interesting Kaiju-movie-styled animated short on DVD.
The Flaming Eyebrow Festival.
I make fun of the bizarre artwork on a flyer for the Toronto Film Festival. Geez, and people actually say that my artwork is awful!
The Monday Recap Extravaganza.
This was the first day of 2 major events in my life over the past year: Teaching drawing lessons at a private school, and taking Japanese classes.
Shoujo Manga Exhibit.
An interesting exhibit about Shoujo Manga in Toronto. Hope to see more of this sort of thing in the city soon.
Drawing on Experience.
One of the younger students in my after school drawing class draws a picture of me!
Happy Halloween? Nope! Not really!
This was not such a good thing. I worked really hard on a piece of artwork and it disappeared just as I was almost finished. So I painted it all over again the next day! I was pissed.
You call that a CHALLENGE?
Someone tells me my "pics did suck" and that I should reply if I wanted to see some good pics. I oblige and get some lame simple icons that were drawn by someone else. Funny stuff!
More Classics: The Ultimate Battle
Pictures of Transformers toys! Who doesn't like that?
I Love Japanese Class.
Taking Japanese classes was by far the best thing I've ever done. Daisuki deshita!
Wiiless in Toronto.
I wait in line for a Nintendo Wii and come up short, but have a good time anyway. I still do not own one.
Dino-Might.
Transformers Minicons that are Dinosaurs! How cool is that?
A "Reoccuring" issue.
Someone known as "Reoccuring Former Jerk" insults me. What do you think I did? If you said "give up drawing", you fail!
Greatest Town Ever?
I still can't believe such a place exists, but it does! I still want to go!
Twisted Once More.
The annual Valentine's day tradition continues. Very gory!
Aim for the Top!
I finally see the legendary epic anime, Gunbuster! This was very influential and inspiring to me.
Ad Astra 2007 - Better than a Luggage Cart.
A fun convention I got to help out at.
T U R T L E Power.
An impassioned rant about the state of the animation business in light of the CG Ninja Turtles movie.
It is Awesome.
And my reaction to said CG Ninja Turtles movie. DVD comes out next month!
Transformers + Bad English = Comedy!
Some clips of the infamous English dub of Transformers Headmasters. MILO!
Project = Complete.
I talk about the toil and hardships I went through to finish an 8-page comic for TransformersCon. Totally worth the effort though!
The TFCon Wrap up.
And my brief report for TransformersCon.
Spidey Sense.
My Spider-man 3 review. I don't seem to hate it as much as everyone else.
The Anime North Report. Or is it?
My Anime North 2007 write up, such as it is.
Newsworthy!
I'm featured in an article by the Associated Press about Transformers Fans! This was a very cool moment for me.
Ninja's Transformers Movie Review.
My review of the Transformers movie. It took me a while to come to a conclusion on it, but all in all I liked it.
I HATE SAUERKRAUT!
Ha ha, I know this is the post prior to this one, but hey... it's Weird Al! His concert was one of the best things I've ever seen.
And there we have it. Considering that I have barely updated my website at all over the past year, my weblog has been pretty much all there has been to read around here. And that's likely not going to change any time soon, but I hope people stick around anyway.
Sayonara.
