By a Hair.

I haven't shaved my head in a couple of weeks. My hair is pretty long now. That is, to clarify, by my standards it is long, since it's usually not much longer than peach fuzz. The average person would still say that it is short. Anyway, by this point I'd usually be tired of having my hair this long, but I'm starting to think that I'm going to keep letting it grow for awhile. Not sure what I'm going to end up going with it, if anything, but I'll see what develops. Maybe I'll turn into a golden haired Super Saiyan. That would be ok.

I'm still going to wear bandanas though. That's my gimmick and I can't very well change it all of a sudden. Besides, bandanas kick ass.

It's Raining Spam.

Despite my best efforts to stop it, I still get a lot of automated spam sent to me through my website. Spam for things like online gambling, pharmaceuticals, plane tickets, steroids and other anatomy enhancing items, and, of course, porn. Some of it is really obviously spam, with tons of links to other websites. Others are spam masquerading as actual feedback. It'll say something like "Nice site", but with contain links to other websites just like any other spam. I have to at least take a glance at everything so I can check to see which messages are spam and which are not. But recently I've gotten a few that are not really spam in the traditional sense, but aren't really trying very hard to sell anything either! These are quite confusing, but funny. Here are two.

This one had a link to a discount airfare site, but I think their marketing approach leaves much to be desired.
I've just been sitting around waiting for something to happen. I haven't gotten much done lately. More or less nothing noteworthy happening these days. Oh well. It's not important. I haven't been up to anything.
Wow! That really makes me want to buy some cheap plane tickets from you! Really!

And this one is just plain weird. The only link it contained was to Yahoo.com. It doesn't seem like automated spam at all, but it couldn't possibly have come from a real person!
Your site is very informative, interesting and a certain daily visit for critical weather information. Thank you.
Umm, you're welcome, I think. I put a lot of work into my site so that a wide variety of people will find something useful here, but I had no idea that critical weather information was on the menu! What a pleasant surprise that I am able to offer something so specialized when I never had any intention of doing so. Well, with that in mind, this weekend's forecast calls for the sky to turn black as giant drops of electrified blue goo fall from jagged clouds. Bring an umbrella.

And I'm Back.

Yeah, looks like I'm back for now. Last week was rough, but despite all things, I got through it. I have a lot of work ahead of me, but besides that everything should be back to normal for the next little while.

I had to teach on my birthday last Saturday, but I was happy to do so. It was the last class of that particular session, but it seemed like it was too short because I would have really liked to keep going with those students. When I was finished with that, I went straight downtown to the heart of Toronto and had the best birthday ever. So I was happy.

I saw Nacho Libre, and I liked it a lot better than I thought I would. Don't listen to the critics on this one. It's not a laugh-riot, but it's not really supposed to be that kind of movie. Rather it's an amusing story peppered with awkward and humorous moments. It's much like Napoleon Dynamite in that regard, and has the same sort of attention to detail, so if you liked that movie you'll probably like Nacho Libre too.

See ya.

I have to make this quick.

I might not be around much for the next little while. It's pretty much completly out of my hands. You can contact me and I'll do my best to get back to you when I can.

My birthday is on Saturday, but with all that has been going on, I'm not sure if it will be a happy one. It sucks that I'm probably going to miss out on posting something up here, esspecailly since it's also the 9th anniversary of my website. Oh well.

Yeah, I'm old. And now the "powers that be" are going out of their way to make me feel like it.

Happy Devil Day.

It's 6/6/06! Devil Day! What a momentous occasion for evil.

I did a quick little digital painting to commemorate the day. Check it out here on my deviantART account.

This has been a great Devil Day. But the last Devil Day was in 1996, and I was in grade 10. Now THAT was hell!

Exciting, but not.

I had an interesting weekend, but it was really not interesting enough to warrant writing about it. I seriously doubt anyone would want to read about it anyway. That's just the way it goes sometimes. So, rather than waste my time writing about what happened, I'll just waste my time writing about how things happened this weekend that I thought were interesting but nobody else will so I'm not going to write about it after all.

And there you have it.

X-Men Review.

Hey, it's June. Wow.

Yesterday I saw X-Men: The Last Stand. It's pretty good. All things considered, I suppose I liked it well enough.
